LA PALOPA
Las Olas Beach Club,
BCS Mexico

DESIGN AND BUILD
Upon finishing two successful renovations in the Condo Development of Las Olas, the HOA hired RIMA to do a design build project on a beach front triangular piece of land that they owned and had been left in ruins by a previous commercial tenant. RIMA designed a beach shade structure in the shape of a manta ray, which reutilized materials from the old structure and added new materials to complete the project. This community building was enjoyed for a couple of years before being destroyed by Hurricane Odile, which dragged the structure completely back into the ocean.

BAJA BREWERY
Centro San Jose del Cabo BCS, Mexico

DESIGN
After hurricane Odile completely flooded the original Baja Brewing Company building, RIMA was approached by the owner who asked for a new layout and design for their restaurant bar. The adjacent warehouse stored their brewing tanks, which initiated the concept idea to integrate the bar with the view into the brewery in order to see the operations and the origin of the beer. The new design created a livelier environment, a successful identity and return of investment for the company.
