INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR LANDSCAPE DESIGN
This 6,500 sq. ft. residence was master planned by developer DBLC, then RIMA was hired by the client to customize the project with a unique lifestyle design, using exterior rammed earth elements built by RIMA, endemic landscaping, as well as interior design collaborations with Mexico’s top product designers.
This home features 2 master bedrooms, 2 guest bedrooms, a media room, a bunk room with a secret garden and a spa pavilion.

Pacific Palisades

ARCHITECTURAL AND LANDSCAPE DESIGN
RIMA delivered full architectural services for a 4,500 sq. ft. two story home with a modern courtyard in the heart of Pacific Palisades Village. The vertical wood lattice separating the street from an interior court became an iconic element, providing visual privacy yet allowing daylight and natural ventilation to filter into the space.

DESIGN BUILD, LANDSCAPE DESIGN, INTERIOR DESIGN
This 5,000 sf custom residence on a 40,000 sf lot was designed and built with environmental sustainability in mind. Desert landscaping with drought tolerant plantings, an on-site wastewater treatment plant to treat gray water for irrigation use, and capitalizing on the site’s natural microclimate for maximum natural lighting and ventilation are examples of some of the eco- friendly specifications in this project. In addition, high-end finishing, appliances, and custom designed and built furniture complete this home, which features 4 bedrooms, 4 1/2 bathrooms, a 2 car garage, spa, pool, and exterior fire pit.

The project consisted in taking an outdated villa and turning it into a transitional - contemporary design that offered the comforts of a new home while maintaining a Mexican feel. In order to achieve so, locally sourced materials, craftsmanship and furniture were considered for this project, along with working directly with Mexican artists to curate the intervention.

DESIGN AND BUILD
Casa Playita represents RIMA’s first intervention to restore and reimagine an architectural artifact by flipping it into a concept house to host guests and a performance space for cultural events. This house is one of a handful of historic and culturally significant adobe earth buildings remaining in Los Cabos; RIMA rejuvenated this home to its former glory with a contemporary twist. RIMA is successfully managing the house through the Airbnb platform, obtaining the highest scores from guests.

DESIGN AND BUILD
Complete renovation of this 3,500 sq. ft. residence and addition of 1,000 sq. ft. living space and master bedroom. All of the interior finishes, equipment and fixtures were redone to transform this prototype home into a custom villa.
Supplementary to the main house of Villa 69, another 1,000 sq. ft. addition above the garage created a cool and fresh loft living space overlooking the surrounding ocean and garden views.
